Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning objectives
The course aims to highlight the theoretical and methodological problems of Humanistic Informatics, as a science that, through its own methods of Computer Science, reflects on the forms of representation of knowledge proper to the humanistic disciplines, on the models of data obtained from them. and on the implementation of the formalisms applicable to these models.
Prerequisites and basic notions
Minimum knowledge in the use of IT tools.

Specific objectives of the course are:
- know how to use IT tools for research and data management for the preparation of a scientific text
- know the main tools for the digital edition of texts and the digitization of books and manuscripts.

The course includes the participation of external experts and the presentation of the activities of some digitalization and diagnostic laboratories of library and cultural heritage (AdLab of the Department of Philology and Italian Studies of the University of Bologna and LaMeDan of the Department of Culture and Civilization of the University of Verona).

Written exam (multiple choice test: considered passed with at least 15 correct answers out of 20) for attending students (considered as such if they have attended at least 14 lessons out of 18, based on attendance feedback in the classroom) Written exam (open-ended test) for non-attending students, based on the bibliography indicated

Knowing the main topics covered in class or, for non-attending students, knowing how to explain the topics illustrated in the reference bibliography.
