Learning objectives
This course aims to: • deepen the knowledge of modern and contemporary Italian literature • analyze Italian literary texts from a historical, critical, formal and symbolic point of view.
Prerequisites and basic notions
The student is required to have an excellent knowledge of the Italian language and a basic knowledge of twentieth-century literary history
Program
Montale, Caproni, Raboni: from Occasioni to the Eighties.
The course intends to explore the developments of twentieth-century Italian poetry through an in-depth analysis of Montale's poetry, from Occasioni to Satura, to then offer a journey through the poetic experiences of Giorgio Caproni and Giovanni Raboni. The aim of the course will be to consider the presence of poetry collections that, in the second half of the century, revisit the genre of the "love songbook", choosing stylistic and thematic modalities opposed to those offered by the Montalian model.
