Learning outcomes

Acquisition of particular skills and abilities in dealing with vocabulary and specific issues regarding the composition, functioning and role of modern political institutions (Eighteenth-Twentieth centuries).

Program

The first part of the course is to address and explore the main problems and issues of the European history of political institutions.
The second part of the course will cover one of the most aspect of the Western States: the relationship between political institutions and public accounts; namely the sustainability of the welfare state, of the state and, more generally, the relationship between the Executive and Parliament.
