Learning outcomes
The aims of this course are to enable students to develop and consolidate the understanding of the syntactic, semantic aspects of, and cohesion in, contemporary English, with a special attention to the varieties of tourism texts.
C1 level (listening comprehension and reading comprehension) is a prerequisite for the course

Examination Methods
Prerequisites for the access to the final exam:
English Language 1;
English C1 level;
English Literature 1.
The final exam (June/July 2019, September 2019, February 2020) is a written test with exercises referred to topics of the syllabus as for example:
- phrases and their structures.
- clauses, sentences and their syntactic functions
- lexical semantics and sense relations
- collocations and their context.
- cohesion.
