Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
- describe and correctly use a number of morpho-syntactic structures of the Russian Language
- apply the acquired notions to the comprehension of texts on different topics, as well as in written and oral communication, using both active and passive skills (writing, conversation, reading, listening)
- have the language skills that correspond to the B2 level on the CEFR scale

Course syllabus:
1. the concept of “aspectual pairs”, also applied to prefixed motion verbs. Formation and semantics
2. comparative and superlative forms of adjectives and adverbs
3. position verbs
4. short form adjectives
5. numerals: cardinal, ordinal and collective ones
6. how to express “time”
7. participial verb form
8. gerundial verb form
9. imperative verb form
10. dependent clauses
11. Language for Specific Purposes (LSP), applied to both commerce (company correspondence and commercial documents) and tourism (city tourism: how to reach the city, what to see, where to sleep or eat, shopping)

Examination Methods
Written and oral
1. Test in itinere: test on grammar
2. Final evaluation: written (test) and oral exam. In the oral exam the questions will cover concepts and topics analysed during the classes. Students will be asked to read, translate and analyse, from the morpho-sintactic point of view, the texts proposed in the classes.
