Learning outcomes
Professionalising laboratories anticipate traineeship experiences in order to enable students to acquire technical-practical skills (with the use of simulators), organizational, relational and problem solving through written cases or role-playing with simulated operators. All this also aims to reduce the emotional impact in trying out real situations but also to ensure ethics and safety to patients. Furthermore, the laboratory offers the opportunity for the student to train himself in applying the theoretical principles to clinical practice. The laboratory activity takes place in environments equipped with small groups of students led by an expert tutor or host and is a prerequisite for the internship.
Program
The skills deemed essential in the first year are practical skills such as detecting vital parameters, hand hygiene, choice and use of personal protective equipment (PPE), preparation of a sterile field, staging a pressure injury and applying the criteria for the choice of the treatment, carry out the care of the body of the person, apply the principles of ergonomics, sockets and techniques of positioning / transfer and ambulation of the person, carry out positioning maneuvers of the purchase, assessment skills and objective examination.
