Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to give to the student the fundamentals of biology, epidemiology and therapy of most frequent tumors. Particularly, the concept of the complexity of tumors, with very different clinical presentations, therapeutic indications and prognostic implications related to the tumor (histotype, biology, stage) and to the patient (performance status, age, co-morbidity) as well is underscored.
Furthermore, the fundamental importance of the role of multidisciplinarity and of the involvement of nurses on the planning and conduct of therapy is presented.
