Learning outcomes

Provide students with the knowledge required to understand Low Urinary Tract FUNCTION and the corresponding DISFUNCTION. This is the study of "Functional Urology" which implies several rehabilitation treatment approaches.

Program

Anatomy and physiology of the lower urinary tract
Functional anatomy of the pelvic floor, the anorectal and genital system
Low urinary tract dysfunction
Clinical and instrumental evaluation of bladder-sphincter-perineal dysfunction
Neuro-uro-gynecological physical examination
Diagnostic tools (symptomatic scores, pad tests, diary)
Imaging of pelvis and perineum; urodynamic evaluation; electrophysiological tests
Urinary incontinence and overactive bladder
Neurogenic Bladder
Urinary retention
Pelvi Organ prolapse
Chronic pelvic pain
