Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to provide students with;
- knowledge about the education theories that surrounds the use of technologies for educational and didactic purposes.
- knowledge about how to critically investigate the scientific literature in order to identify and evaluate technological tools best suited to meet the needs of the different contexts.
- knowledge about how to use technological tools coherently with their intrinsic characteristics and with the needs of the context.

Program
The course is developed on three main themes:
- New contents/old tools: In this part we face the issue of teaching computational thinking as a new discipline by using activities not involving computers, and focusing on the subject more than on the tools;
- New contents/new tools: In this part we will use tools such as Scratch and code.org for teaching coding and the fondazione of programming to primary school students
- Old contents/new tools: In this part we will see how it is possible to exploit coding for building new tools in order to face old discipline in a innovative and attractive way.

The exam will consist of a programming project (coding) and regular deliveries of exercises left to be completed independently.
Evaluation criteria
The objective of the ongoing and final deliveries is to determine the understanding of the proposed programming techniques and the student's ability to rework the programming techniques shown with original and autonomously developed solutions. The ability to insert what has been developed into a clear educational project is also part of the evaluation. The project can be carried out in groups of up to three students, it being understood that the work presented must be proportional to the number of members of the group.
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
The final grade will consist of the sum of the evaluation of the final project with the evaluation of the homework. The final project can be evaluated maximum 26/30 mainly determined by the quality and originality of the programming component, while the regular deliveries of the homework can be evaluated maximum 4/30 depending on the regularity and completeness of the deliveries. The delivery of the homework is optional, it being understood that without these deliveries the maximum achievable mark is 26. In the case of non-attending students, the homework can be delivered after the lesson period but always before submitting the project to the roll call.
