Learning outcomes

The main aim of this course is to study the history of the Italian literature referring to a definite historical period, by analysing directly representative authors or literary genres.

Program

Giovanni Boccaccio: genesi, tematiche e lettura del Decameron. Dopo un breve excursus introduttivo sui temi e sui problemi della letteratura italiana delle origini, il corso prenderà in esame l’opera letteraria in poesia e in prosa del Boccaccio, con particolare attenzione all’analisi delle novelle del Decameron.
