Examination Methods
The exam is oral and held entirely in French. It deals with the acquisition of theoretical notions and the ability to apply them to practical cases; it is also about the steps of the evolution of French-speaking countries linguistic politics and of French lexicography.
The oral interview will verify:
- the breadth and completeness of the contents;
- the ability to exemplify;
- clarity of presentation.
The oral exam covers the entire program and can only be taken after having achieved the B2 language proficiency level. The evaluation is expressed in 30/30.
The final mark out of thirty will be obtained from the average between that of linguistic competence converted into thirty (based on the indications in the “Vademecum regulations for students of the Foreign Languages and Literature Area”) and that of the oral exam and will be expressed in 30.
ERASMUS students are asked to contact the teacher at the beginning of the course for clarification.
The program, bibliography and examination methods are the same for all students, including non-attending students. Attending students will be also proposed some activities for the final exam.
Prerequisites - linguistic competence required
A B2 level or higher linguistic competence relating to French language is required.
Linguistic competence is based on the certifications issued by the CLA (University Language Center) or by certification institutes recognized by the MIUR (DELF B2, DFP DELF B2, Esabac; in this regard, consult the dedicated web page: https: / /cla.univr.it/files/4-tabella_equipollenze.pdf) and is preparatory to the French language exam.
As indicated in the "Vademecum", the validity of the B2 language certification is four years since the date of achievement.
