Learning outcomes

"At the end of the course the student will be able to: 1) have consolidated the general principles of Russian morphology; 2) be able to apply them to the comprehension of written and oral texts about various subjects; 3) demonstrate to have the Russian language skills that correspond to the B2 level of the CEFR..

Program

Course syllabus

1. short-form adjectives
2. comparative and superlative forms of adjectives and adverbs
3. numerals: cardinal, ordinal and collective ones
4. verb aspect and aspectual pairs”: formation and semantics
5. position verbs
6. verbs of motion (with prefixes)
7. expressions of time (including dates) and space
8. imperative verb form
9. impersonal and modal phrases
10. language for Specific Purposes (LSP), applied to both commerce (company correspondence and commercial documents) and tourism (city tourism: how to reach the city, what to see, where to sleep or eat, shopping)

Teaching methods

Frontal lessons, with projection of slides, uploaded on the e-learning webpage. Theoretical introductions, analytic reading, translation and comment on texts.

Erasmus students et alii

Erasmus students are required to contact the teacher in order to receive instructions as regards the teaching program.

Non-attenders

Students who cannot attend the lessons are required to study the materials on the moodle page, and to contact the teacher as regards the reference books.

Examination Methods

Evaluation methods

Written (test) and oral.
In the oral exam the questions will cover concepts and topics analyzed during the classes, including the necessary vocabulary for the meta-linguistic discourse. Students will be asked to read, translate and analyze, from the morpho-syntactic point of view, the texts proposed in the classes.

Prerequisites

Students can take the exam only after passing the exams “Russian language 1” and “Russian literature 1”. A B2 (or higher) language certificate is also required.

Final grade

The final grade of the exam will be the average of the grade of the written+oral exams and the average grade obtained in the CLA exams. The latter will be converted into /30 according to the conversion table presented in the document “Vademecum didattica”.

Students who have obtained external language certificates should obtain and equivalence certificate from the CLA before the date of the exam.
