Learning objectives
The learning objectives of the course are: providing the student with a general knowledge of the problems connected with the use - especially in the medical and clinical field - of instruments, implantable device and machines, even complex ones; make the student acquire the fundamental knowledge to describe the basic functioning principles of such instruments and become capable of analyzing events connected with their interaction with biological systems (e.g. assessing the effects of X rays or ultrasonic waves as the physical characteristics of the tissues analyzed change, or the action of electrodes on skin...); illustrate to the students the electrical diagrams and the designing phases of the main biomedical instruments.
