Learning outcomes
- to know the characteristics of helping relationship and to apply the principles of communication during professional relationship
- to know the risk factors related to the profession and to apply them in the context of clinical training to ensure the safety of person and operator: to apply hygienic principles of infection prevention, ergonomic principles, to select and use aids and personal safety devices
- to collect medical history in an orderly way
- to carry out clinical physical examination and to collect clinical data
- to carry out postural changes, passive mobilization, basic modalities of manual therapy

History
Physical examination:
- Inspection and palpation
- Physical examination in the supine, lateral and posterior position, sitting with and without support of the trunk, upright
- Assessment of pain (Numering Rating Scale and Visual Analogic Scale)
- Measurement of Active and Passive Range of motion (AROM-PROM), limiting factors, end-feel, physiological degrees
- Definition: Manual measuring scales, agonist muscle function and stability
- Measurements of AROM, of PROM of lower limb, upper limb, trunk
- Assessment of the sensitivity
- Assessment of the cutaneous trophism, edema and muscle tropism
- Examination of gait and manipulation
Basic modalities of Manual Therapy:
- Purpose of joint mobilization
- Operating procedures: starting position, sockets, stability, breadth and speed of execution

Examination Methods
To must attend regular frequency and recovery of absences and / or gaps in the individual skills.
Each semester there is a formative assessment by OSCE. The student is authorized to exercise and apply the principles and operating procedures in context of clinical training.
