Learning outcomes
L’insegnamento si propone di educare criticamente lo studente alla conoscenza della professione dell'Igienista Dentale, si forniscono le conoscenze di base riguardanti le più comuni patologie della cavità orale, concentrandosi in particolar modo sull’aspetto della prevenzione. Si forniscono le conoscenze di base sulle modificazioni del comportamento attraverso l'apprendi-mento e come vengono memorizzati questi cambiamenti ed infine le tecniche psicologiche, compor-tamentali e comunicative per la gestione dei bambini (paure, dolore, ecc.) in ambito odontoiatrico.
MODULO METODOLOGIA EDUCATIVA DELL'IGIENE ORALE Obiettivi formativi: Il corso si propone di educare criticamente lo studente alla conoscenza della professione dell'Igienista Dentale e del suo ruolo all’interno del team odontoiatrico, alle strategie che l’igienista dentale può mettere in atto per la promozione della salute e alle conoscenze di base dell'anatomia del cavo orale. Il corso si propone inoltre di fornire allo studente modalità e strategie di comunicazione con il paziente.
MODULO ODONTOIATRIA DI COMUNITA' Obiettivi formativi: Il corso si propone di fornire allo studente le conoscenze di base riguardanti le più comuni patologie della cavità orale, concentrandosi in particolar modo sull’aspetto della prevenzione. Il corso si propone di fornire conoscenze rispetto alla figura dell'igienista dentale e ai suoi possibili ruoli di promotore della salute orale nelle diverse fasce di età in linea con quanto proposto dal Ministero della Salute e dall'Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanità. I risultati di apprendimento attesi comprendono i concetti e le strategie preventive relativi alle patologie sopraccitate.
MODULO PSICOLOGIA DELL’APPRENDIMENTO Obiettivi formativi: Modificazioni del comportamento attraverso l'apprendimento e come vengono memorizzati questi cambiamenti. Le varie forme di apprendimento. L'intelligenza e la sua misurazione. Il corso permetterà allo studente di ottenere la preparazione necessaria per l’approfondimento e l'uso della Psicologia dell'apprendimento intesa come disciplina sperimentale. I processi cognitivi quali apprendimento, memoria, percezione, attenzione, pensiero, motivazione, emozione e comunicazione verranno contestualizzati nel generale impianto metodologico delle scienze cognitive, permettendo allo studente di trovare tutti gli elementi di confronto ed integrazione con metodologie, teorie e modelli, sia da una prospettiva storica che applicativa nel mondo della ricerca contemporanea.
MODULO PSICOLOGIA DELL'ETA' EVOLUTIVA E CLINICA Obiettivi formativi: Il corso si propone di offrire una conoscenza di base della Psicologia dello Sviluppo presentando una panoramica dello sviluppo umano dalla nascita fino all'età anziana. Si propone inoltre di approfondire alcuni aspetti caratteristici della Psicologia Clinica necessari per sviluppare adeguate competenze comunicative e relazionali nel rapporto con il paziente del futuro Igienista Dentale. 1. far conoscere le modificazioni e i cambiamenti che, a livello fisico, emotivo, affettivo, relazionale, cognitivo e comportamentale, si verificano nella persona nel corso della vita; 2. approfondire le principali teorie che hanno guidato la ricerca in ambito evolutivo; 3. indicare tecniche psicologiche, comportamentali e comunicative per la gestione dei bambini (paure, dolore, ecc.) in ambito odontoiatrico; 4. fornire strumenti per comprendere e analizzare la letteratura scientifica relativa alle tematiche trattate nel corso delle lezioni.
Program
Starting from the analysis of the historical path that psychology has led to identify itself as an experimental discipline, the most important issues involved in cognitive processes will be addressed. The first of the studied aspects will be the methodological and epistemological one to understand the relationship between Psychology understood as an experimental discipline and the other humanistic disciplines that contribute to the study of human thought. The other topics covered will be the classic ones of Psychology such as the study of perceptual experience, psychophysics, theories, models and research on consciousness, attention, memory, thought, intelligence, learning, motivation, emotions, communication. In addition, topics such as the nature and treatment of mental disorders, the development of personality throughout life and the behavioral biology that contribute to the organization of man's cognitive architecture will be touched upon. following topics:

Examination Methods
LEARNING PSYCHOLOGY
The exam taken during an official appeal will consist of a written test with thirty multiple choice questions to be carried out in 30 minutes (3 the answer alternatives of which only one is correct. For the final judgment expressed in thirtieths, a correct answer has value equal to 1 point, an incorrect answer has a value of 0 points, an answer not given has a value of 0 points).

The exam will consist of an oral test related to the texts studied and the materials proposed and discussed in class
METHODS AND MATERIALS OF ORAL HYGIENE
The exam will consist of a written test (open questions) relating to the texts studied and the materials proposed and discussed in class
PSYCHOLOGY OF EVOLUTIONARY AND CLINICAL AGE
The exam consists of a written test divided into two parts: one of questions with multiple choice answers and one of open questions.
