Learning outcomes
Teaching introduces the student to the aspects of prevention, diagnosis and therapy of the main systemic and dental pathologies of the child and adolescent Psychological, behavioural and communicative techniques are provided for the management of children (fear, pain, etc.) in the dental field. PEDIATRICS MODULE Training objectives: Teaching introduces the student to the educational, clinical and welfare aspects aimed at the child and adolescent and the main pathologies of epidemiological importance, relevant also to the areas most related to the dental field (es celiac disease and induced vomiting and diabetes) PEDODONTIAL FORM Training objectives: Teaching introduces the student to the aspects of prevention, diagnosis and therapy of the main dental pathologies of the child and adolescent. EVOLUTIONARY AND CLINICAL AGE PSYCHOLOGY MODULE Training objectives: The course aims to offer a basic knowledge of Developmental Psychology by presenting an overview of human development from birth to old age. It is also proposed to delve into some aspects of Clinical Psychology necessary to develop appropriate communication and relational skills in the relationship with the patient of the future Dental Hygienist. 1. To introduce the amendments and changes that, at the physical, emotional, affective, relational, cognitive and behavioral level, occur in the person in the course of life; 2. To master the main theories that led the research in the development field; 3. To indicate psychological, behavioural and communication techniques to deal with children(fear, pain, etc.) in the dental field; 4. To provide tools to understand and analyse the scientific literature on the topics covered during the lectures. DENTAL HYGIENE TECHNICAL MODULE IN EVOLUTIONARY AGE Training objectives: Teaching involves promoting oral health and preventing oral cavity diseases in evolutionary age.
