Learning outcomes
1. Providing pathophysiological basis and theoretical skills for screening and diagnosis of emocoagulative disorders, both hemorrhagic and thrombotic ones. Moreover, giving competence for the Therapeutic Drug Monitoring of anticoagulant drugs.
2. Providing tools for the assessment of diagnostic tests accuracy and the evaluation of test results related to the diagnostic questions.

Pathophysiology of Hemostasis: vascular, platelet, plasmatic and fibrinolytic phase.
Acquired coagulation inhibitors
Thrombo-embolic diseases
Principles of laboratory techniques: clotting, chromogenic and immuno-assays
Global coagulative tests: PT, APTT
Laboratory diagnosis of hemophilia
Laboratory diagnosis of thrombo-embolic disease: defects of anticoagulant proteins and coagulation inhibitors.
Hyperfibrinolysis evaluation.
Monitoring of oral anticoagulant therapy
Dosage and TDM of direct Oral anticoagulants (DOAC).
ACCURACY Diagnostics: Sensitivity, specificity, predictive value, Likelihood Ratio, ROC;
Read and interpreting the values of analytical data: reference values, decision limits

Examination Methods
Multiple choice test plus oral examination.
The CLINICAL PATHOLOGY Module determines 8 about the 40 overall questions of the entire course of "Diagnostic Methodologies of Clinical Pathology".
The evaluation of the examination consider all the 40 questions, regarding the three modules (IMMUNOEMATOLOGY AND EMOSTASES, METHODS AND TECHNOLOGIES OF IMMUNOATHMOLOGY, CLINICAL PATHOLOGY).
At least 30 out of 40 correct answers are necessary to be admitted to the oral exam.
Written questions will be reviewed immediately together with the candidate during the oral test.
