Learning objectives
The teaching aims to develop assessment, semeiotics and surveillance skills using diverse and individualized approaches, methods and assessment tools such as anamnesis, screening tests, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic tests in the community setting. In addition, the teaching aims to enhance assessment competences using a holistic and priority setting approach. Learning Outcomes: to deepen, with theoretical and simulation modalities, advanced assessment techniques (anamnesis, physical examination and semeiotics, rating scales) with focus on abdomen, psycho-emotional state, swallowing and degrees of dysphagia.To deepen criteria, methods and tools to support the identification of priorities in order to guide decision-making. ABDOMEN ASSESSMENT AND SEMEIOTICS Module: Learning Outcomes: to develop skills in the assessment and interpretation of the main alterations with respect to bowel peristalsis/functionality, constipation, and bowel sub-occlusion. To acquire basic knowledge regarding ultrasound of the abdomen - point of care. PSYCHO-EMOTIONAL STATUS ASSESSMENT Module: Learning Outcomes: to develop skills in recognizing alerts of mental distress in adolescents, adults and elderly, and premonitory signs and symptoms of postpartum depression. ASSESSMENT OF SWALLOWING AND DYSPHAGIA Module: Learning Outcomes: to develop clinical evaluation skills of II level and bedside assessment of swallowing and dysphagia. TRIAGE METHODS AND PRIORIZATION CRITERIA Module: Learning Outcomes: to deepen in-person or remote territorial triage methodologies, prioritization criteria and tools, and possible choices/decisions (home visit, intensified home monitoring and surveillance, physician/specialist consultation activation, emergency intervention activation).
