The course focuses on the study of the anatomical structure and functional correlates of the locomotor system, vessels and spinal nerves. Introduction to the study of human anatomy: levels of organization of the human body; general organization of organs and systems; anatomical terminology; section plans; systematics of movements. Locomotor system: histological elements; structure, organization and function of bones and joints; general structure and functional correlates of the skeletal muscular system; origin, insertion and action of skeletal muscles. Circulatory system: histological elements; general organization of the pulmonary and systemic circulation and the lymphatic system; structure, course, branching and distribution territories of arterial, venous and lymphatic vessels. Nervous system: histological elements; general organization of the nervous system; structure and general organization of the spinal cord; origin, organization into plexuses, course, branching and territories of innervation of the spinal nerves. Origin, anatomical organization and functional correlates of the orthosympathetic autonomic nervous system.
