At the end of the course, students shall demonstrate to be familiar with the statutory instruments and to be able to use technical arguments by using an appropriate terminology and a correct legal reasoning also based on the international experience.
Program
The course will be centred on both national and international transport and, in particular, it will be examined the carriage of goods by road, the contract of sea transport of goods and that of air transport, both of goods and of persons.
This analysis implies knowledge of the principles of Italian private law on transport and, on this basis, the examination of international conventions relating to international transport, in addition to the study of the "Codice della navigazione".
Particular regard will be reserved to the Convention of Montreal on Air Transport and the Convention of Geneva on the international carriage of goods by road..
the program will include the critical examination of jurisprudential material, above all on these two conventions and will presuppose the ability to a discussion.
If the language skills of the students so permit, cases of foreign courts will also be examined.
In addition to the recommended text, material will be distributed during the course.
