Learning objectives
a) Acquisition of the ethical and legal responsibilities governing the professional relationship between dentist and patient; of the abilities in managing the relationships with legal and public health authorities on the facts of professional interest to those authorities. b) Understanding of the essential outlines of criminal and civil law, including through the judicial process of Merit and the Supreme Court, regulating matters of professional liability (specific casuistry). c) Acquisition of the technical skills to the forensic evaluation for the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment of the person: dental expertise in various areas of Penal and Civil Law d) Knowledge of the contribution of dental techniques to forensic activities, with special reference to the issue of individual identification.
Prerequisites and basic notions
the propaedeutic requirements of the course must be respected. There are no specific prerequisites different from those required for access to the degree course.
Program
Fundamentals of Forensic Criminal Medicine link of material causality; imputability of crimes against the person (crimes against life, personal injuries); Aspects of medico-legal importance in the information and consent relationship in the clinical setting; prohibition and administration of professional secrecy support. The legal obligations and duties of health professionals: • certification. report and report to the judicial authority Forensic traumatology, blunt force injuries Stab wounds; gunshot injuries. Personal injury: juridical and medico-legal aspects Code of ethics: definition, historical aspects and disciplinary sanctions The private accident policy. The liability of the healthcare professional: criminal aspects The liability of the healthcare professional: civil aspects Social insurance.
