Learning outcomes
Professionalizing laboratories are essential learning experiences that anticipate clinical training. The objective of this first year is to offer students the opportunity to experiment in applying the acquired knowledge and theoretical principles, in a safe and controlled environment. The course aims to lead the student to the observation and evaluation of videotaped cases, to develop his critical thinking. Work is carried out on observational reports in small groups, in a protected environment, simulating the direct experience that will be realized later in the internship experiences.
Program
During the course the physiological development of the child (0-6 years) will be addressed. For each development area treated (cognitive, motor, communicative, play, graphomotor, and feeding skills) a short frontal lesson will be proposed, followed by the viewing of videos. The videos will be analyzed by the student (individually or in a group) through the use of an observation grid that will accompany the student in the internship. mention is made of atypia or conditions of delay in neuropsychomotor and communicative development.
