Learning objectives

The seminar course aims to provide the student with some basics on morphological and cytochemical techniques to visualize at transmission electron microscopy inorganic and organic nanoparticles administered to cells and tissues.

Prerequisites and basic notions

Basic biology

Program

Technical features of transmission electron microscope. Preparation of samples to visualize inorganic nanoparticles. Preparation of samples to visualize organic nanoparticles through the application of appropriate cytochemical techniques.

Didactic methods

Two in-person seminars.
Attendance at the two seminars is mandatory.
