Learning objectives
Learn in depth about the HIV virus starting from its discovery and origin, viral characteristics, pathology and available antiretroviral treatment. At the end of the course, the student will have an understanding of the mechanisms of viral persistence during antiretroviral therapy, notions on the development of a vaccine and the latest treatments aimed at viral eradication.
