Learning objectives

The main objective of the lesson is knowledge of developmental and epileptic encephalopathy, characterised by epileptic seizures, often drug-resistant, invalidating comorbidities including neurological, neuropsychological, behavioural and cognitive impairment. Learn how to analyse the correlation between genotype and phenotype (using electroclinical, neuropsychological, genetic, and neuroradiologic studies) and the natural story of the disease.
Learn the importance of integrated clinical and neuropsychological evaluation with the administration of development scales and the trial of clinical evaluation scales adapted to identify precociously and monitor neuropsychological development in subjects with developmental trajectories diverging compared to normal subjects.
How can shared models of care management be generated that allow, when possible, the development of targeted therapeutic strategies and how to define a multidisciplinary, personalised take in charge to contribute to a better long-term prognosis. Formulation of a personalised treatment according to aetiology and clinical phenotype
