Learning objectives
The aim of the special odontostomatological pathology course is to analyze and make possible the diagnostic recognition of the most common diseases of the oral cavity, providing the student with adequate knowledge of the macro and micro-anatomical aspects of diseases of the human mouth. Through the analysis of multiple clinical cases it is possible to acquire the ability to develop a correct diagnostic and therapeutic procedure. PRACTICAL ACTIVITY MODULE IN SPECIAL DENTAL PATHOLOGY Training objectives. Frequency integrated with images and discussion of clinical cases in order to train students in critical skills on the topics and allow them to acquire knowledge of the main physiological, paraphysiological and pathological conditions of the soft tissues, teeth and jaw bones in order to develop a correct diagnostic and management approach for the possible different clinical questions that may arise during professional life. SPECIAL ODONTOSTOMATOLOGICAL PATHOLOGY MODULE Training objectives. Special odontostomatological pathology studies the macro and micro-anatomical aspects of diseases of the human mouth. The aim of the course is to make the diagnostic recognition of the most common oral diseases possible, in particular by providing a systematic clinical-diagnostic method, which accustoms the student to following a codified procedure, reducing the margin of diagnostic error. During the course, the responsibilities of the future dentist are highlighted, regarding the consequences of an incorrect diagnosis, an unrecognized potentially malignant disorder, an incorrect therapy or a therapeutic delay, with consequent damage up to a possible increase in mortality .
