L-FIL-LET/13 - PHILOLOGY OF ITALIAN LITERATURE

Learning objectives
The course aims to convey the main competences of the philological method which constitute the basis for the edition of a text in digital format. The course also aims to provide students with the specific knowledge and methodologies to prepare a digital edition. At the end of the course the student will be able to recognize the main editorial issues concerning the publication of a text and to identify the most suitable editing methods and softwares in view of its digital edition.

Program
The first part of the course will illustrate the discipline on the basis of the following materials:
1) Handout made available (in 'moodle') by the teacher: introduction to philology;

In the second part of the course, will be read and commented passages from Dante Alighieri's 'Comedy', in digital format from manuscripts.
