Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

El objetivo principal del curso es proporcionar a los estudiantes de la carrera de Lenguas y Culturas para el Turismo y el Comercio Internacional las herramientas para llegar a obtener las siguientes competencias y habilidades:
- Capacidad de comprender y entender aspectos complejos de la realidad cultural y literaria de España, profundizando algunos elementos históricos, geográficos y antropológicos
- Habilidades prácticas: demostrar el conocimiento de los datos culturales, históricos, geográficos y antropológicos útiles para comentar los textos propuestos en el programa
- Habilidades comunicativas: argumentar en español de manera crítica y personal, tanto en forma escrita como oral, los contenidos del curso
- Capacidad de aprender: demostrar la capacidad de un aprendizaje autónomo y activo
ENGLISH
The main aim of the course is to provide students of the Bachelor's degree in Languages and Cultures for Tourism and International Commerce with:
- Knowledge and comprehension skills: A general knowledge of the literary, cultural and historical context of the Spanish reality of a given epoch (main writers/texts/movements/genres discussed in class)
- Applied skills: Ability to read critically the literary texts included in the reading list, by putting into use the theoretical knowledge gained in class
- Communication skills: Ability to express oneself and critically argue in Spanish
Program
The learning of some basic tools of literary critical analysis will enable an adequate development of the analytical skills; furthermore, the historical and cultural content will ensure the right approach to some issues related to Spanish reality during the Renaissance and the Baroque, through the lens of literature. The course will be taught in Spanish.

Examination Methods
Attending students: an (optional) written test and an oral examination. The written test will be on the first module, the oral examination will be on the second module.
Non-attending students and attending students who don't take the written test: an oral examination on the first and second modules.
Examination is intended to verify the level of knowledge, understanding and analysis. It will be in Spanish.

Internships and apprenticeships - Foreign Languages and Literatures
Internships and apprenticeships
A mandatory internship period (6 CFUs) within business organizations is included in the study plan for the Bachelor’s degree in Languages and Cultures for Tourism and International Commerce (L12).
The internship is designed to provide students with practical experience in areas relevant to their future professional careers and to help them acquire specific professional skills.
Internship activities are conducted under the direct supervision of an individual lecturer and take place at professional firms, public administration offices, and companies accredited by the University of Verona.
Credits earned through internship activities will be awarded in accordance with the detailed provisions of the current “Regolamento d’Ateneo per il riconoscimento dei crediti maturati negli stage universitari” (University Regulations for the Recognition of Credits Accrued in University Internships).
