Learning outcomes

Text and context, grand tour, politics and economics in some classical texts of French literature.

The course aims at presenting the great moments of French Literature anche culture, from the beginning to the end of Ancien Regime, and from the first to the second Empire, through four classical texts replaced in their historical, aesthetical, economical and political context.

At the end of the course, students will be able to know the great moments of literary history, from "Classicisme" to Lumières, Romanticism and Naturalism, and to contextualise and analyze the texts presented during the course, with an appropriate terminology.
