Learning objectives
The course aims to deepen the understanding of the aspects of textuality and terminology of English for commerce and tourism through the analysis of specialized newpapers and magazine and of the digital discourse of promotional texts. At the end of the course students will demonstrate the ability to write in English about the topics and the exemplifications discussed during the course. Prerequisite: Varieties of English.

Didactic methods
Lessons are delivered in English. Students are asked to carry out activities related to the course and discuss them in class. The study of the material posted on Moodle is required for the final exam. Methods of teaching support:
Teaching materials will be uploaded in the Moodle platform and the bibliography is available on this website. Students are encouraged to contact the professor by e-mail and during office hours (also via zoom, Meeting ID: 899 7426 1272).
Learning assessment procedures
The exam is a written test in English on the topics and activities of the course and consists of closed questions and semi-open questions.
Evaluation criteria
The evaluation of the exam is given by the sum of the correct answers
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
The final grade consists of the outcome of the exam and an additional point for active participation in the activities related to the course
