Learning outcomes

Fornire agli studenti gli strumenti metodologici per relazionarsi con l’utenza psichiatrica in un ambiente protetto e controllato, in modo da permettere loro di applicare successivamente l’abilità appresa in laboratorio e in contesti reali.

Program

During the Professional Workshop topics will be communication and observation, relation between health workers and patients in Mental Health Department and the interview with patients through practical training.
• Communication: the meaning, verbal and nonverbal communication, skills and errors.
• Relation between health workers and patients in the Mental Health Department: Day Center, Hospital Ward, residential and semi-residential facilities. Reflections on training experience.
• Work with families: their needs, how to involve relatives into care process. Analysis of some cases.
• The privacy, the informed consent and the professional secret in the deontological code of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Technicians.

Examination Methods

There is a level evaluation reached by the student in the Workshop for each type of technical / skills experienced and authorization to apply them during curricular trainings. Production of a final relation.
