Learning outcomes
The course “Reason and Feeling: Neoclassicism vs Romanticism” will analyse contradictions and paradigmatic changes in the history of thought in the 18th century: the triumph of rationality, the dismantling of an aesthetics of the beautiful, the emphasis on subjective perception, the rise of the novel, preromanticism and romanticism.
