Learning outcomes

The course aims to accompany the student towards the knowledge and deepening of the different organizational issues related to the reading of needs, programming, design, management and evaluation of social and social-health services and provide a cognitive picture of the organization of social services, also in reference to the different areas of intervention. It is also proposed to acquire basic professional skills to operate in the field of social, social-health and socio-educational services and to develop skills to connect the technical knowledge acquired during the lesson and the practical reality of the services, giving tools for self-reflection that can contribute to the formation of one's own professional identity.

Program

The course includes the presentation of the fundamental elements for reading and understanding the organizational contexts of services to the person. Reading keys will be provided to approach the architecture of the national and regional welfare system in a comparative perspective. In particular, the evolution of the organization of social welfare services will be analysed; the characteristics of the different actors in the welfare system; the structures and logics of operation of the main public and private bodies operating in the various sectors of intervention; the path of planning social services at state, regional and local level, with particular attention to subsidiary and integration dynamics; levels of planning and delivery of social and health benefits (Zone Plans, PIS, PISSR, etc.); the role of the social worker in the analysis of social demand, in the planning, design and evaluation of services; professionals involved in the management and provision of services. It is also planned to realize - in agreement with students - seminar meetings dedicated to the thematic deepening of some areas of intervention and social service networks present today in the national and regional context.
