Learning objectives
The course aims to provide the students without basic legal skills, with fundamental knowledge of media and information law, including the structure and functions of the public bodies involved in the sector regulation. Furthermore, the course will provide basic notions of copyright law. At the end of the course students will be able to understand the main legal aspects of information and media sectors and their institutional actors. Students will also be able to understand the basic legal mechanisms underlying copyright law, with special attention to publishing

FOR ATTENDING STUDENTS ONLY
Students are entitled to take one or two tests in progress (with exemption from the corresponding parts of the program in the event of passing the test), each consisting of a 40-minute written test with two open-ended questions. Evaluation criteria
FOR ALL STUDENTS (ATTENDING OR NON ATTENDING)
The test evaluation indicators are based on the ability to: - use knowledge (25%); - connect knowledge (25%); - argue (20%); - delve into the topics (15%) - mastery of legal language (15%);. The test is not passed if the candidate shows that he/she has not understood - even just in reference to one of the required topics - the fundamental notions and/or is not able to express himself/herself clearly and use sufficiently correct terminology. During the exam it is possible to consult only legal texts without any commentary and/or notes (it is recommended to use as a source: https://www.normattiva.it/ )
